Meet Iris! Well, more like Team Iris. Iris is co-owned by our youngest daughter, Raina. Raina has done all the work with this young kid herself, and it shows. Together, they have been competing in Juniors in both AKC and UKC. We are looking forward to seeing what this amazing team has in store for the future. Together, they are a rainbow of joy!

At age 6 months, together with her sister River, was awarded the 1st Award of Merit at Santa Barbara Kennel Club's Breeder Showcase! 

She earned her UKC Show Championship, was multiple group winning and group placing as well as an invited finalist in UKC Juniors at the Premier!

In December 2024 she earned her AKC BCAT award with her junior owner/handler, Raina.

At 2 years old she qualified to race in WRA and competed in her first race meets.

In June 2025, she earned 1st in a large Open class under judge Harold "Red" Tatro, and her first 5-point major win and Best of Winners under judge David Miller at the famous "Woofstock" shows, and 2 weeks later at the Cascade Whippet Club and Cascade Whippet Hound specialties was in the ribbons in very large Open classes.

In August 2025, at the Mount Batchelor KC shows, Iris earned her first BOB followed by her first Group 3 placement under judge Andrea Bradford MD. Her group placement earned her a second major win (4 points)!  The same weekend under judge Allen Odom she earned another BOB. She is currently up to 10 points and both of her majors!

She is currently in the co-ownership and care of our friend Heather Felty (Chappell Whippets) in Oregon, and we are looking forward to more adventures with her soon!
