UGCH Starfyre Whisper of Raindrops FCh SSR

Meet Whisper! Whisper was bred by and is also co-owned with Jolene and Keith Hicks of Starfyre Silken Windhounds. He has been such a joy to have in our household. We have been having a lot of fun in the ring and on the field!

At the 2024 Boofest Regional Specialty, Whisper caught the judges’ eyes! Matthew Proctor awarded him an Award of Merit, and Sharlene Craig awarded him Reserve Champion! He earned his UKC Grand Champion title in 2025, and is just 1 major win from his ISWS Champion title. Whisper is being shown selectively, and we anticipate finishing his show titles soon!

On the field he is a speedy and keen sighthound, always enthusiastic to course the “trash bunny”. He has been doing well in racing also. Whisper is pointed in LGRA and NOTRA. He has also earned his LGRA SSR title (Senior Straight Racer). In ASFA lure coursing, he is a Field Champion as of Nov 30, 2025.
